Honing method may be the same although Land Rover Factory Manual says "This work should only be entrusted to line boring specialists" Part No for camshaft 2.5 N/A Diesel is ETC7128 together with Qty 3 90519055 Bearing and Qty 1 536577 Bearing (upto Eng No12J43824C) or ETC8442 (From Eng No 12J43825C)
  5. Apologies, FRC8194 appears as Rover type axle in the Snatch Illustrated Parts Catalogue. I have managed to establish the following from earlier TRUCK ARMOURED PATROL 4X4 LAND ROVER Commercial Parts List:- Swivels and hubs are pre- Defender items as stated earlier Unique steering arm and Panhard rod as stated earlier Unique axle case FRC8192 Differential is identical to 110 rear differential Plus the following unique parts:- FRC7580 Axle shaft c/w CV joint RH AEU2522 CV Joints RTC3946 Inner drive shaft RH FRC7581 Axle shaft c/w CV joint LH RTC3947 Inner drive shaft LH FRC8337 Swivel pin bearing housing c/w bush FRC8219 Oil seal swivel pin housing Hope this helps.

  7. NSN 2540 99 809 0414 was superseded by 46MT13 8340 99 904 4014 (just re-numbered really) which is described thus:- COVER ,WATERPROOF SPECIAL LENGTH 18.00 FEET NOMINAL PEAK HEIGHT 12.667 NOMINAL CANVAS BIVOUAC TANK COVER (5 MEN); SUPPLIED WITH ROPES,TENT PINS AND POLES AND EYELETS ,COTTON So it looks like it is a tank shelter. Incidentally the above NSN has been superseded by 46MT13 8340 99 136 1962 which is part of a shelter included in the Challenger 2 CES (Complete Equipment Schedule). Steve.
  8. Illustrated Parts Catalogue is AESP 2420-J-203-711. Repair Instructions are a JCB publication. Steve.

  11. Hello, I'm Steve from Telford - I own a Land Rover 110 GS and my job involves NATO Stock Numbers , hence my User Name.
  12. Concentric connection is outlet to intercooler, right angle conection is inlet (from raised air intake) Filter is mounted horizontally at an angle to the engine using mounting/interface bracket (NSN 7XD 4330 99 958 0470 or locally manufactured) fitted to the adapted existing air cleaner mounting bracket. You're right about the clogged filter bypass. Don't know about the small externally threaded pipe.
  13. According to the EMER: RADIAC SYSTEM The system provides for the detection and measurement of the radiation dose rate, and monitoring of the radiation hazard to the crew , while reconoitring in areas which may be contaminated by nuclear burst. 16. Looks like you've got most of the Battery Box Assembly judging by the photos posted on EMLRA Forum!
  17. Looks like your battery box was mis-labelled as 7XD 6160 99 201 5316 - this is BOX RADIO BATTERY Part no. RRC8699 to contain 4 radio batteries. Nobody seems to have bothered to sort out the correct NSN ,and instead written it off and disposed of it. The box and table you have are:- 7WMK 6160 99 730 8304 (part no.5300-249) BOX BATTERY and 2540 99 562 5226 (part no.5330-049) TABLE RADIO ,which are part of 7XD 6160 99 274 6694 BOX,BATTERY ASSEMBLY , which is part of the WMIK INSTALLATION KIT. This battery box arrangement was also fitted to some TUL FFRs (Installation Instruction No2) Have further information if interested .
  18. Dosn't look like usual battery box/radio table in 90's and 110's,with 4 batteries under the radio table - 2 each side on slide out trays Likely it's the small battery box which contains 2 batteries (NSN 6160 99 733 8304) and table(part no.13386-032) as fitted to WMIKS and TUM FFRs to the side of the rear bucket seat.

  23. Ted ,you're right! Walked over to DSG B Vehicle Park this afternoon and found several TITHONUS Land Rovers - with registrations ranging from xxKExx to xxKJxx - obviously their original ERNs. I know that giving the vehicles new Asset Codes and NSNs whilst retaining their original Registrations has caused problems regarding these vehicle's details held on JAMES , the Asset Management System but cannot at present find out whether their Vehicle Histories as held on MERLIN are affected. Apologies for duff info Steve.
  24. All Land Rovers that have been through the TITHONUS Life Extension Programme (LEP) are given new Nomenclature ,Nato Stock Number and Asset Code and will therefore require a new Equipment Registration Number for MERLIN. For instance TRUCK UTILITY MEDIUM GS CARGO SOFT TOP 12V,4X4,2.5 LTR LAND ROVER 110 DEFENDER NSN:2320 99 893 7004 ASSET CODE:NB17103103 Following LEP becomes TRUCK UTILITY MEDIUM GS CARGO SOFT TOP 12V,4X4,2.5 LTR DSL LAND ROVER 110 DEFENDER LEP NSN:2320 99 908 7417 ASSET CODE:NB17103113 Hope this explains their "new" identities. Steve. Steve.
