  2. RAF UINs begin with F. A on the end of a UIN indicates a unit - any other letter indicates a sub unit.
  3. Adapter kits were available to enable various types of Clansman radios to be installed in GS Land Rovers, the TUAMM mounts would have been included as part of the adapter kit to install a Radio station PRC 351/2. The installation would have been :- Equipment rack and fused distribution box together with the 14 volt DCCU (Direct Current Charging Unit) for charging radio set battery, the basic radio kit and its installation kit (the last two items being common to both GS and FFR).

  19. I have tried to cross reference DML048049 using The Codification Support Information System (CSIS) and have drawn a blank – the part has not been codified, it looks like the number is for internal use by Babcock Land Systems who manage the parts inventory for the MoD.

  21. Just going by entry in ISIS (Item of Supply Information System) - one of the earlier Additional notes does state "FOR WD 1924 MIRROR". It's still a current item although the NSN has changed to 9340-99-803-0599 (9340- Glass fabricated materials).
