  1. Hi there, i want an 88 but always thought they would be stupidly priced. Over the last two years, i have seen that generally they can be picked up for about £10,000. Finland have been selling them, but the Spanish have a few as well. I have seen one perched atop an awning for advertising in Spain. p.s. I still haven't got one yet>.
  2. You could always ask the Artillery museum archive department, they will have them.
  3. HMS Repulse was at Battle of Heligoland Bite, and sunk as part of Force Z off Singapore.

  6. Sorry to hear about your news artist. Do you have to wait a year because of the NHS or because of the testing levels. Whatever, i would go private. Or go to India and get them to have a look. We were just about to ship my father out there for his eyes, but he had them done really quickly when he moved to spain. A while ago i was in Sri Lanka. I have a recurring problem with my back. I went to a hospital in Coloumbo and for my £15.00 registration and consultancy fee, i saw the Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon within half an hour. He had done his training in Portsmouth. Excellent advice, and rolled his eyes when talking about NHS. Don't think India is the third world anymore when dealing with NHS.

  14. "Imperial Reckoning", how the British were mighty naughty to the peace loving , freedom fighting Mau Mau and how the British were almost as bad as the Nazis. I'm getting the imression the writer doesn't like us. Plus a Clive Cussler book, which is top.
  15. Have you all seen the Matilda II's and Grants at a scrapyard in Australia.
  16. There was a chap, who had supposedly found the site, where the metal had been collected during the WW2 scrap/salvage propoganda campaign, and buried somehwere on Dartmoor. This could feasibly have the WW1 tank which was on a plinth in Millbay, near the park. Although the whole would be a pile of rust by now. Plenty of rumours of kit buried around Slapton, including bodies after the ill-fated Op. Tiger.
  17. Are you sure a Sherman DD? a Sherman BARV was recovered from Salisbury two years ago and now sits in Bovington rusting away. Recovered for the museum to use as colateral, not for restoration.
  18. ebay stopped any ordnance being sold, poofs. Best put it british ordnance collectors network. or a friend of mine is heavily into ordnance as a buyer seller. He directed me to somebody who bought my depth charge!
