  1. Does anyone know of a supplier for repro data plates?
  2. Some pics to help id it. 3 holes in rear presumably to locate the radio shelf.
  3. Thanks for the info Chris, will check that tomorrow. Where is the data plate located for the original reg number located? (Big Champ learning curve going on here as you can probably guess).
  4. i wondered if it would be a No.19 set, thanks for confirming my thoughts Robert. Yes mine has the earlier aeriel mounts on the rear. Ive got no generators, batteries or anything as yet. I want to try and mount what would have been the original radio back in it.
  5. Thats for the link to that site Lee. I found this site which gives you a detailed description of the radio fit and FFw/FFR Champs. http://www.austinchamp.com/03%20Register/extras/FFWtoFFRConvert/FFW.FFR.htm Mine is obviously an FFW as it still retains rear seats among other things. Question is where the FFW is concernedit says that they were fitted with pre-Larkspur radios. What are Pre-Larkspur?
  6. What system was the Champ FFR fitted with? Has anyone got any leads for anyone flogging any radio kit for it?
  7. We had 8 inches fall here overnight. The roads were chaos as people dont know how to drive in the stuff. We have been taking the Champ out on "Jollys" around town though- great fun!
  8. Oh, very funny! When I put the Champ into reverse gear and drive it in reverse it "kangaroos" if you know what I mean. Rather than driving smoothly it jumps as if you are pumping the accelerator up and down. While we are on the subject how do you inspect the oil level in the back axle and what oil goes in it? EP90? I am lacking a maintenance manual for that bit.
  9. As the title suggests, my Champ kangaroos in reverse. Is the back axle on its way out?
  10. Global financial crisis affecting HMVF? Now thats a thing I wouldnt have foreseen coming, and Jack admitting there is such a thing going on..bizarre... Seriously though, I for one appreciate your efforts.
  11. With Footman James, fully comp on the Iltis cost £50, added the Champ onto it for £15! Beat that.
  12. Well, I didnt get up til late, due to kids coughing and spluttering all night, completely missed not one but two junctions off the motorway adding extra 50 odd miles onto my trip. Forgot my mobile number to give DawnPatrol(Julian) a ring to meet up and find out where everyone was. And was parked nearer Warwick than the exhibition centre. So just had a quick scoot around. Sold a Wehrpass and officers photo album and picked up a couple of butler lights for the Morris. Bought a couple of leaf spring assemblys off Jeeparts which seemed like a good idea until I realised how heavy they were while carrying back to the car.
  13. I am back now!! Hooray! After 3 long evenings in the wilderness, thanks Jack, not quite sure what happened. Time to catch up now.:computerrage:
  14. i think that is the first time I have ever seen pics of the Morris in service.
  15. Thanks for keeping us posted with the pics Ivor. I didnt realise that was not too far away from me in Wellingborough. Very nice looking vehicle.
  16. I was wondering more along the lines of a test Morris, sure there was a reference to them in the article on them in CMV a while ago, photo looks early though.
  17. There was the remains of a Flak 88 a year or so ago with a Dutch dealer, think he still has it for sale. Never did get a reply from him. Not sure what the neighbours would think of it though.
  18. Unrecognisable! Are you doing the cab yourself or getting it made up?
  19. Very intact looking machine Julian, have you done much to it, or is it as found?
  20. Good to see some pics of it Julian, surely you are running out of space now?
  21. Thanks very much Mark, really appreciate that.:
