  1. Similar to the Champ question. There is a rather dog-eared looking Ferret on Ebay and Milweb that is missing some components, like escape hatch doors gear lever etc, whats the availability of these bits and pieces?
  2. As the title suggests, whats the availability of Champ parts, things like back axles, canvas, seats, windscreens etc? What are the sills like to replace?
  3. The cocker spaniel look is out at the moment anyway Jack, go slimline and minimalist and ask your stylist for a number 1 all over.
  4. The grass dont grow on a well trodden path as my grandfather used to say. Could be worse, Mrs W bought an advent calendar from Woolworths only to find the windows on it were boarded up!
  5. I was just about to say i wouldnt fancy changing the tyre on those wheels.
  6. Quite agree there degsy, at least this government is trying to do something about it, how effective/ineffective they will be time will only tell. CW, if ever you think about letting the Champ go give me a shout, our bigger workshop will need another vehicle or 2 to keep in at night. Times are hard for anyone in the garage game, if anything I am working harder than ever before doing all sorts of wierd and wonderful marketing schemes to get the people in through the door. We are holding our own.
  7. I am thinking positive, although it may not seem it! We are taking the oppurtunity to expand our workshop and modernise it, may as well do it when its quiet , trouble is this time of year no -one wants to spend money on their cars.
  8. Being on the retail side of things we have certainly noticed business dropping throughout the year, but the past month particularly bad. But you are right, the coming year will be worse...
  9. Brilliant, your talents are wasted!!
  10. Nice looking vehicle on ebay at the moment, these dont come up very often. looks like an AT.
  11. You never know , 2010 might see my MB there as well, might be enough time...

  13. Six tracks a laying? Long shot I know!
  14. Link to a nice set of photos from Okehampton Camp in with the RA. Looks like one of the Morris variants and either Priests or Sextons? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WW2-Army-Royal-Artillery-RA-OKEHAMPTON-American-Tanks_W0QQitemZ120337405854QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Collectables_Militaria_LE?hash=item120337405854&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1294%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
  15. Be nice to see some pics of it as well Ivor.
  16. As the last post on here was July, and as we are having a quiet afternoon at work, there has been some action on the C8. Lots of banging, bending and sparks to start assembling the passenger side of the cab. Exterior Interior The back wall of the cab is already done, so hopefully another day or 2 and we can mount the cab ono the chassis to see how it does/doesnt fit!
  17. Good link there, thanks for that, even mentions my old school!
  18. Would that be Ampthill Park as in Ampthill Bedfordshire, or Ampthill Park somewhere else?
  19. Are you consigning that one to the spares and repairs section of the workshop then Mike? Or dod you intend to rebuild it?
  20. We are making the cab from scratch, not had much time recently to crack on with it, but we need to soon as we need the space! Hopefully december should see things moving again.
  21. Metalwork looks fairly good Julian, what is the engine like? More importantly where did you find it, was it one lurking in the back of your friend Tobins shed??
  22. Do you know of any pics if them in this theatre Mike?
  23. I have to ask Mark, do you just take photos of random peoples memorials, is it a hobby or it a means to an end??(cough, cough, Tower Hill photo, Iltisgun clips, cough):coffee:
