  1. Any update how the weather will be the coming week?
  2. Sorry, missed your reaction earlier! I know I'll have to pay a fee, but even my local bank says that will be cheaper than ordering cash from them...
  3. Anyone know if there is a cashmachine somewhere nearby that accepts foreign bankcards? There was one in Paddock Wood. I never bring enough cash anyway... :-D
  4. What a great toy! I assume it is rearwheel drive. Anyone recognise the engine they have used? Btw isn't that an Inter M5H6 truck on the left at 1:50?

    A dakota

This Dakota was sunk of the Turkish coast, just outside Bodrun harbour a few years ago for divers.
  6. Darwinism at work for you. This happens a lot on the continent, where the soil is sometimes littered with all sorts of old explosive remains from 2 world wars...
  7. For what it's worth, the jeep is a Ford GPW!
  8. Actually, that's an ultra-rare airborne jeephalf. It works with the same principle as with shelterhalves, you have to team up with someone who has the other half... :-D
  9. Ooohhh I bet that would look good on some nice alloys... or spinner hubcaps! :-D
  10. This is in the Netherlands East Indies. :-)
  11. A few of the 'big' collectors have been working on this for years already, so really nothing new there. There are a number of Pz IV's, StuG's and I believe at least 1 JagdPz IV still strewn around the Golan.
  12. The rare Mk. -1 with the picknick table! Looks like a great project! There can't be many of these still around...
  13. Captured FT17's were used to guard airfield and the like, so that is why they were around at Arnhem. The FT17 in the Royal Netherlands Army Museum was used for airfield guard duty in The Netherlands during WW2.
  14. Great photo's! I would love to see one of those buses restored to this configuration! :-D
  15. I think I heard the Weald Foundation (former SDKFZ Foundation) was allowed to remove those parts to copy them, in exchange for which they would restore them. I dont know if this is for a restoration or fabricating a complete replica.
  16. A friend of mine has a '43 WLC in those colours!
  17. That is excellent news! Please post pics!
  18. Good chance those markings are original WW2! The engine is indeed post-war but can be used in a WW2 jeep without any problems. Nice project!
  19. They are private collections, although Jean Ziger from Luxembourg visits events like Beltring now & then I believe.
  20. Maybe this will help: http://the.shadock.free.fr/Surviving_SdKfz8_SdKfz9.pdf :-)
  21. Maybe this is helpful? http://www.1943mb.com/c-15-G503_WWII_Jeep_Configuration_of_First_Engine_Start_after_a_Rebuild.aspx Good luck! Greetz David
  22. I think they were all WW2 production.
  23. I believe the sources for the Middle Eastern MP44's were the DDR and Yugoslavia.
