  1. I didn't get any adverts while watching on the Quest site with help of that add-on; no need for a password either.
  2. Quest have now posted episode 3 on their YouTube channel:
  3. That worked like a charm, thanks so much! :-D If you want to see an episode again in the future (after they've gone from the Quest site), I use Video DownloadHelper to save it to my PC.
  4. I mainly use Firefox, but also have Chrome and Edge.
  5. Anyone here with access to Quest TV-on-demand and a video downloader-plug in on their browser? :-D
  6. Great news, but I really hope that doesn't include back to the 'old' toilet arrangements as well... :-D
  7. What I heard is that the buildings on the site (grandstand, stables etc.) might be taken down soon and that work will start on laying infrastructure like roads, sewers, cables etc. but that nothing will be build anytime soon, which means the field itself probably will largely be available for at least the 2017 show.
  8. Unfortunately the same for me, the past seasons were posted in good quality on Dailymotion but only season 1 is still there now. If anyone has a working video on the link that Richard posted above and uses Firefox, I know a way to easily save and share the episode without putting it out in the open.
  9. I think the problem with that is that most of us, myself included, would make quite boring TV. And while ofcourse things are inflated (and quite over the top sometimes) for the show's sake it tends to be the more 'colourful' types that have vehicles that go beyond the sensibility of the standard list with jeeps, Landies, Dodges, GMC's etc. :-D
  10. I was told Bruce just signed on for season 4, and that it will have 16 episodes. :-D The DVD suggestion is a good one!
  11. Don't shake his hand or he'll never wash it again! :-X
  12. All previous episodes float around on the interwebs... You could try dailymotion.com or a torrentsite if you can't wait.
  13. Season 3 of Combat Dealers will start coming Tuesday (January 10) on Quest. :-D
  14. The larger 'rifle'-type weapons carried by some stormtroopers in the original Trilogy and also in Roque One are modified MG34s.
  15. Other than the American victims' remains who were either buried on one of the dedecated US cemeteries on European soil or brought home, Commonwealth war graves can also be found on local cemeteries in addition to their own dedicated cemeteries (like in Oosterbeek). They all have the standard headstone and are often grouped together in their own plot, and sometimes there is just a single Commonwealth grave. The cemetery that my friends and I visited and of which I posted the pics here is located in The Hague and is a normal operational cemetery. The Commonwealth plot is sectioned off by a low hedgerow and fence, this is where the photo's were made. We also put candles on the graves of 47 Dutch resistance fighters who were executed in 1943. Lots of people place candles on war graves and not just on the large dedicated cemeteries, it happens all over the country but became a bigger 'tradition' only the last few years.
  16. Indeed. This Christmas eve some friends and me visited the Commonwealth War Graves plot at the Westduin cemetery in The Hague (The Netherlands) and placed a candle on each grave. We did not forget these men gave their lives for our freedom and this seemed a small but fitting manner to show our gratitude on this special night. Many other people did the same at Allied war graves all over The Netherlands. Unfortunately it was quite windy and despite being placed into plastic cups the candles were blown out all the time, but we did manage to make these photo's when the wind subsided for a few minutes. We also placed candles on the graves of 47 executed Dutch resistance fighters that are buried nearby at the same cemetery. The Commonwealth plot contains 87 graves, mostly airmen but also some Navy and Army personnel. 17 of the 87 men buried here are unidentified, but they are not forgotten. Information on the cemetery and the casualty list: http://www.cwgc.org/find-a-cemetery/cemetery/2061150/THE%20HAGUE%20(WESTDUIN)%20GENERAL%20CEMETERY Sorry photo's aren't the best quality but the best we could do under the circumstances. Merry Christmas! :-D
  17. Now that the rim is more clear it turns out this is an M42 helmet shell. The liner might be marked on the inside of the liner, and might also be stamped on the metal band. The chinstrap is not factory original but it might be made of surplus German webbing. For more information you could consider posting it on the warrelics-forum.
  18. There is an even more annoying version of 'no price'... when you do ask them what they want for an unpriced item and they say 'to make them an offer'. If I still even bother to make one it will never be more than 2/3s of the usual going rate. Two can play that game... :-D
  19. Spanish helmets have a bracket welded to the front and the other South-American helmets were usually ex-German... I would still look for those codes.
  20. It seems to be either a M35 or M40 shell. Can you show the inside? There should be 2 separate codes stamped near the rim, probably in the neck and/or the side.
  21. What a great truck! Maybe original warped wood can be straightened with steam and patience? The reverse of building wooden boat hulls.
  22. Here are the other markings on the case. The monogram is COW for Coventry Ordnance Works, the others are probably inspector's markings.
  23. I think this the type of cartridge it would have used (sorry for the photo quality)?
  24. I see boxes of them at most shows, usually still factory-bundled per 10. These things are very common and in-expensive, have you looked at militaria dealer's websites? Like http://www.clementsmilitaria.com/shop.php (3th item from the bottom), this is just an example.
