    My dad has my grandads original LRDG cap badge, i'll have a look next time I see him. If it is original, it's worth money. My grandads LRDG has provenonce with it, his service records and discharge papers. My grandads LRDG stuff is very rare as he was never an official member of the LRDG, he was made a member by the LRDG themselves whilst serving with them in the western dessert.

    Hi mate, if you want a spare wheel on the side, a wolf spare mount kit is what you need, not cheap though! As for jerry cans on the side, you could buy a jerry can mount and bolt it direct to the body work, be careful though, the landy is ally and it might pull through.

    Do I have to book in for a day visit in an MV? I remember when there was loads of trade stalls there, it was the first place I ever saw an MP40!

    What the rivet counters don't understand is that during service MV's get changed all the time, my grandad drove a morris(Ithink) during the war towing a cut down italian truck as a trailer. He did'nt get a kit change for 3 yrs and wore italian officers trousers cut down as shorts! I was talking to a para in afganistan via the net about land rovers and the REME, he said they had a permanent attchment of REME with them cutting/welding/taking bits of MV's.

    I can reccomend quicksteel, good stuff. Cracked my front diff cover at W+P one year, whacked a load of this on and, bingo! job done. Every bodger should have a tube in thier motor!

    I can't get the time off work!! Bugger. My dad's caught my cold from the bunker bash and is laid up in bed!(it's his age, hehe) First time in 10 yrs that i'm gonna miss this=gutted.

    The thing that worries me is that the gurkas have to have done 4 yrs service, what if they were medically discharged through injuries whilst in service before 4 years?
