  1. I started taking my niece to MV shows when she was about 6, told her all about the wars, the soldiers and the hardships they suffered for future generations. She's 15 now and if someone asked her about poppy day she could tell them exactly what it means. You can't blame the kids for not knowing if they are not told!
  2. A couple of points to add. Ive sort of changed my mind about civvie tents, when you think how much we spend on our MV's and equipment and fuel, £400 for a 9x9 12x12 which will last forever is good value and makes the shows look better. My mate bought a civvie 4 man tent for £100, he's used it about 6 times and it's falling apart! What makes a great show? THE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!
  3. MY uncle used to go there on a regular basis, he was a founder member of the '59 club.
  4. I think this has been blown out of all proportion. It was an official state dinner and there are certain dress codes to be followed.
  5. When I come down jack there will a nice big rambo special cake for you!
  6. I'm hopeing to go, a bit of a nightmare at the moment getting all the dodgy squaddies together!
  7. Thanks to your efforts another MV saved from the scrap heap. Well done.
  8. I reckon we should all club together and buy an island somewhere and start our own community! I am sick to death of the way things are going in this country!
  9. TBH I reckon theres more to this, mayb he was waving it around at people? If I was the police I would have givin him a good talking to and took the knife of him.
  10. I'm going to chatham. It would be nice if there was a meet at the ace cafe later in the year.
  11. I had a lead made up at my local car radio shop and use the anntenna on my wing box for my music radio, the reception is brilliant!
  12. Congrats mate, 2 daughters!, eastenders and coration street on the telly forever and no hot water in the mornings for you!
  13. I was on the guided tour and the guide told us NO pictures to be taken once onboard, I was dissapointed.
  14. I had a great day out visiting HMS Victory, the guided tour was fantastic! The only downside was not being able to take photos once onboard. The car was down by the docks, I reckon the owner parked it there when the tide was out!!
  15. Me and the boys will go for the day, it could be a good event if they get a few stallholders there, after all, I dont think there is anything else on in feb.
  16. I thought that once it had paid for itself we would no longer be charged!
  17. Welcome fella, nice collection you have there.
  18. Peugeot engines a good'un. Don't worry about a divorce, you can come and join our gang!(stay up late, loads of beer, men and motors and washing up in the sink!
  19. Well done guys, I could'nt make it as i'm off on holiday monday. Lee, next time i'm at chatham make sure you point out the trader to me who would'nt give, i'll give him a bit of east end advice!:argh: I don't want to spend my money with these kind of people. Me and the dodgy squaddies will be making a donation when I get back from my holidays.
  20. I went in there a few years back, the guvnor was very friendly and let me climb all over the tanks.
  21. Thanks guys, time go's quick.
  22. I heard gosfield lake in essex is full of jeeps, how true I don't know. One thing I do know is that my grandad buried crates of .303's all over the north of england ready for the invasion if it came!
  23. I heard a rumour that they were going to build the new embassy in the countryside somewhere, obviously wrong! I reckon the will relocate the fruit and veg market somewhere else, it's a big market after all. Good luck for the future.
