  3. Just noticed this In Bills post. At the top of GE there is a clock icon, click that and a new slider appears, you can adjust the map age with that...it will display date photo was taken (the Huntingdon lancaster disappeared from view some years ago, but the slider brings it back ). There is no choice with the road photo's as there are only the one set. Regards rog8811
  4. I see all the bids have been cancelled, it is back to £1000, reserve not met..... So as you say something a bit iffy about the bidding, I wonder what the reserve is? Regards rog8811
  5. Nice one Bill, I always look from the nearest road as well, the interesting stuff is so often behind the hedge or gate :embarrassed: Not military but I did find this which made me laugh..... found in the peaks somewhere so a long way from Peckham Regards rog8811
  6. That is something I didn't want to hear How long before they are all beyond economical restoration? Such a shame, I would give any one of them a loving home  Regards rog8811
  7. Bedford TK, Militant with flags and a kubelwagon on a trailor, within a mile of each other, heading anti-clockwise toward W&P at a guess.

I just booted up Mrs rogs' computer and found no problem on ie there, I am in the process of comparing settings to see what I can find that is different...... Thanks for the response! *Edit* FOUND IT! The radio button on the "update website each visit" section was unclicked! I cannot think how that could have happened as updating used to work fine.... anyhoo all up and running so a happy bunny again:)
  9. ....so 36 people are, I assume, having no problem as they have read the thread and said nothing..... Unless I hear otherwise I will assume something squiffy is going on with my ie. Regards rog8811
  10. Just recently I have been having trouble marking forums as read. I mark as read but when I visit again later the list shows new posts, but when I look the posts are ones I have seen before. Am I the only one with this rather annoying problem? Regards rog8811

  13.:bow: I have to say that the DRs did a superb job buzzing around the convoy, did they have any problems when stopping traffic? It all looks so calm and professional as if they had been doing it for years! Regards rog8811

  21. Very nice! keep us posted with progress won't you? Regards rog8811
  22. Found a photo of it sitting at the very spot it dug in! Again only from memory PJ said that this one was indeed a merlin where the other was a Meteor. I also recall that he had a couple of crated NOS engine mounts for a Lancaster that were about to go off for spares for the BOB Lanc. ....and going from the picture it was Paul Jameson! (not how I spelt it before) Regards rog8811
  23. This is dredging back through a lot of years of history and the old grey cells could let me down but here goes anyway on the subject of the beast... and the 6 wheeler that followed. Was J Dodd the original builder or the guy who put a body on it? I seem to remember he was an auto gearbox specialist who finished the car off. I have wracked my brain for the name of the guy I visited the first time the 6 wheeler was to be driven. When put in gear one drive axle went one way and one went the other, result? it dug itself into the gravel drive.... EDIT!!!!!!!!! Paul Jamison!!!! that was the man!! Regards rog8811
