  1. The beauty about the MAN SV is that most parts are interchangeable so not as many spares needed on the shelf.:nut:
  2. Foden trucks are staying in service for a bit longer, ours has just undergone a refurb as our unit won't be getting the MAN SVR for quite sometime, (Training unit run by civvi's), Iveco have come into play big style, 8 wheeler tipper with terex crane behind the cab to replace the FL12, and a 6 wheeler flatbed with a Terex crane rear mounted, No British truck building industry anymore.:nut:
  3. The ether cold start capsules are not used now and are like rocking horse s**t to get hold of, a can of easy start does the same job, The capsules fit into a cylinder on the dashboard, its about 4" square with a hand primer built in, most bedfords still in service have had them removed.
  4. Hi, My name is Mick,I live in Basingstoke, ex REME, one of my postings was with the Tank Transporters, (Antar & Scammell Commanders), a bit Ironic that i now live near where the Thornycroft factory was. my interests are basically my work which is big trucks, the bigger the better.:nut:
