As someone who has used mine rollers I am a little confused as to why they are fitted to the rear of the vehicle as any detonation could immobilise a wheel station and strand the vehicle or worse injure the crew. Was this purely to counter anti personal mines and they believed a vehicle could withstand the detonation?

Thats easy, on ex in covies covered in cr#p having had no sleep for weeks and eating bacon and egg banjos washed down with an alcoholic non alcoholic drink. Or is that just me that remembers those days ??

Any particular period? I have ww2 battle dress, however I'm currently working for them in Canada, with all the ex REME vehicles on here I'm sure something can be put together.

I replaced all mine with m6 rivnuts and bolts, a lot easier and they don't fall out as easy.

You would be supprised, some countries still use the Lee Enfield against the Ak as they can engage at greater distances, even the Americans kept the m14 in service as their m4/m16 didn't have the range against the older bolt action weapons in Afghanistan.
