  1. I look at how the TUV test works in Germany and it sends a shiver down my spine. Lets hope we never have something like that here...

  5. Sandblast every time. The only truly satisfactory way to remove rust and crap.............
  6. Tomorrow, August 5th is the annual Trans Pennine run organised by the HCVS. All the vehicles will be corralled at Middleton, Manchester on Birch services M62 westbound at 7am tomorrow . The first vehicle will leave at 7.30am with all the vehicles (about 200) on their way by 9.30. The run passes through Littleborough, Rochdale, Todmorden, Hebden Bridge, Halifax, Bradford Otley and Pool in Wharfedale before arriving at it's destination of Harrogate. It is usually on the Stray but this year it ends at a School on Oatlands Road. There is usually a dozen or so military vehicles on the run and I have entered Bernadette. If you live in the Manchester area it is worth getting to Birch to see them roll out first thing. This is predominantly classic commercial vehicles but if you like military vehicles you will probably like old trucks too.:cheesy:
  7. Never rated the Hunter as a child because it didn't possess mach1+ performance and was not much use in Top Trumps !!! However belatedly I have come to love it's lines and the awesome punch of the four 30mm Aden cannons !!!
  8. Wow... That is all I can say...Speechless :-).
  9. Yes, I think you could be right. The 'Hetzer' is a little long and the rear end view is definately a JagdPanther. The 'Stug' could well be a IV... Pure porn xxx.

  14. It is a shame that nobody ever logged the speed when they were new. It would probably have been classified information in those days though !!!
  15. August 11th and 12th. Saddleworth is a nice little place and there is a convoy for MVs on the Sunday. I like this event.(and so does the missus )
  16. It was always my belief that under the right conditions a Scorpion tank could top 70mph, which would make it the fastest tank in service.Yes, TANK ....
  17. There is a BEAUTIFUL Ural 4320 on ebay right now that £8k will probably buy. It is a gift at that price. A little smaller than the Kraz but a fantastic truck nontheless. If I had the space for it I would buy it myself.
  18. I am definately going to this show next year. Was there a Marmon Herrington armoured car in desert sand there because I saw one on the M25 .
  19. Is it a Rolls Royce engine? Maybe a Perkins dealer can supply one?
