  1. I've had a couple of these trailers. The poles are not too hard to find, one of mine had one side and the other had none, but in the whole time I had them I only ever saw one tent set for sale and it was gone by the time I saw the advert. I believe Undercover Covers were going to make some tents but not sure if they ever did. Chris
  2. I just changed my Sabre to historic tax at a local post office. Didn't get asked for anything other than the V5 and walked out with a tax disc.
  3. Joe, Do you have an spare parts list for your Ferret? If not I suggest ordering one ASAP! Chris
  4. The Stormer final drives are different, but are not fitted to the diesels as standard.. They are part of the 235 upgrade. The sprocket rings and carriers are different.
  5. Rob, You need to get the Merlin report, you can do this by submitting a freedom of information request. There should be threads on here with the address. Chris
  6. I have a device which connects to an air line and sucks the fluid through and out the bleed nipple. Makes the job much easier, just make sure the reservoir is topped up and pull the trigger till there are no more bubbles. http://www.eurocarparts.com/mobile/ecp/p/tools/car-service-tools/brake-service-tools/brake-bleeders/?SEAVS020&0&t5_389
  7. Pete, I have never heard of anyone doing tank driving with CVRTs. If it has to be a CVRT there are people who do driver training with them. Chris
  8. Charlie, Not as easy a job as it should be as those discs can be a problem! You'll just have to undo them as best you can. Chris
  9. I bought Firestone NDCC tyres for my M151A2 from http://www.northhantstyres.com/index.html - they weren't cheap though!
  10. The drain tap is accessed through the belly plate under the engine bay.
  11. Hi Justin, As long as the oil pipes for the engine are connected you don't need to worry about the gearbox ones. Send me a PM with your email address and I'll send some stuff to help you out. Chris
  12. Finally got the Scimitar out for a spin after filling and bleeding the cooling system. It runs well, sounds a lot nicer than the diesel Spartan. I will be putting this on hold until later in the year now as I have to get the Spartan ready for W&P. We did tidy up the farm yard a bit by dropping the turret and engine decks on it. Looks a bit more like a tank now! Attempted to drive the Spartan home yesterday only to get a few yards from the house and have it break down. The problem is fuel related, I suspect the tank is full of junk and the filters are clogged. Another job to do!
  13. Andrew, There are loads of green and black RB44s around. You should use NATO green and black, Matt or satin finish depending on your preference. Look on milweb for suppliers. It should be roughly 2/3 green and 1/3 black. If you can uncover an old pattern then just follow that, otherwise you can make it up as that's all the guys who painted it before would have done. Chris
  14. I don't know where the kit is at the moment, if/when I next see it I will have a look for you.
  15. This cleaning kit is also issued to vehicles fitted with the L94A1 chain gun, so Warrior, CVRT Sabre etc. I have a complete one in my Sabre somewhere!
  16. This kit was sold to Mark, but it never made it further than the Lincoln Hermes depot. I won't go into details, but there is no way I am ever using them, or Parcel2Go again. If you see this on ebay, at a car boot sale or even in a skip please let me know! Thanks.
  17. It will make it more difficult to verify the age as you won't be able to get any service history, but it has been done before.
  18. It has been done many times. British or Belgian?
  19. I'd like to get a new bonnet for my M151 if you do arrange this and there's space in the container.

    These are Larkspur radios.
  21. I had no problem buying the new 700x16 tyres I put on my M151.
  22. Degsy is right, there is a lot you can do quite easily to help us all help you figure it out. Start by removing the pope which carries the fuel into the carb, turn the engine over or if it's an electric pump put the ignition on and make sure fuel comes out of the pipe. If you can't work out which pipe to disconnect post a photo! Chris
  23. Hi Ian, Mine is a lazy starter too. If it's not been run for more than a few hours it seems to want to turn over for several minutes before it fires, unless I use easy start. It always fires on the first turn with some easy start . Once it's going it's fine, it'll fly down the road at 60+ and never misses a beat. I've got another fuel pump to try to see if it solves it. Is this one an A2 with the emission control system fitted? Mine is and I've often wondered if the fuel is draining back to the tank through all the pipes! Chris
