  1. Nice! were all sprockets always cad plated? Cheers, Lex
  2. Surplus to requirements is a 1940-1942 C10 rear hub, with sprocket, 2 bearing cups, of which one is pitted, 10 used spokes, and a worn loose sprocket, someone here was looking for 2 of these, but cannot find the post anymore? Cheers, Lex
  3. Pictures don't work? can you send them please to welbike@welbike.net? I'm near Opheusden tomorrow, so could come and have a look. Cheers, Lex
  4. Good old JW, he should have shipped his parts all over when it was still on the company he worked for! Toolbox will be OK again soon I see Ron! Cheers, Lex
  5. Ah, I wish people would start their own thread, too confusing! Lex

  8. Yes, I've had a couple of Shriners bikes, chromed and all! they do parades all over the US. Haven't counted the register for a while, will check but around 200, which is 5%? but only about 25/30% are MKI's I probably have yours in there Steve. but if you could email the numbers, I can update the list, have been keeping track of them for 30 or more years now, all confidential offcourse. Cheers, Lex
  9. Well, for 1941 there just simply never weren't any civilian models, please state or pm me your frame number, and we'll sort it out. Cheers, Lex
  10. Hahaha, yes! But the devil is in the details! Cheers, Lex
  11. For good measure a factory shot of the engine of the Flea, I assume James had the same cap?? Lex
  12. Here's Arnauds replica, he used a normal style fixing clip thingy. Cheers, Lex
  13. Well, not to piss on your party Steve, there are 2-3 main variations, and I think the two above are postwar, all of mine, and the ones Arnaud made some replica's off, have the ridge where the HT cable goes in. Another difference is the knurled special nut that was used on the older ones, see picture. (this is a US thread, not normal) I think you can also see the details on the factory shots, will have a look. Lex
  14. Ok, nice! But I must say, the Flea ferrules are totally different to anything else used on other bikes, I remember, as I had some made for my second Flea at the time. Cheers, Lex
  15. Yes, you are right, it's different, I just had a look! Sorry, Lex
  16. Ok, you beat me to it! But looks the same as for Flea's. Lex
  17. Yes, there's special ferrules, will see if I have a picture later. Cheers, Lex Ps, thought you were talking about a Flea, but guess James?
  18. There are about 6 types of tanks, I have one that looks G3WO on the bottom, but is not as long, here's an identifying chart for some of them. Cheers, Lex
  19. Or repro's here: https://45parts.eu/index.php?action=article&aid=14305&group_id=10000097&lang=EN Cheers, Lex
  20. You can try these guys, the owner has passed away, but his family is still selling stuff I think; http://www.wardepartment.co.uk/parts-spares/ If anyone is in need of an original late 741 horn face, I have one, the non script one, like Ron's above here, 80 pounds, plus postage at cost from Holland. Cheers, Lex
  21. Here 2 pictures from the Model 640 manuals, seems the shorter pump was used here, but definetly spring clips, cannot find anything on the other type of spring clips. Also a scan of Bruce Palmers Harley book, about the pumps. Lex
  22. Yes, there's 2 lenghts, and 3 types of clips, complicated! Below the 16" pump, the tall one. Will see if I can find out about the clips. Cheers, Lex
  23. Military ones were different, they used the same type as for lorry headlamps. But then you probably need a different rim too. the civvy type is repro'd I think? Cheers, Lex
  24. A chap in Denmark had some made, excellent quality, I'll see if he has any left. See picture. Cheers, Lex
  25. If there's enough interest I will have some folding footrests cast in SG steel, I don't like the bronze repro's very much. Cheers, Lex
