    if you look at the next forward beam it makes sense , they use the same beam several times , so for wiring loom there is already one hole , other for fastening clip .

    that grill came from an OX with the narrow tires on , its badge was also cast . Pictures which B. Vanderveen and myself got from Bedford when they closed down show only on the prototypes with the big holes in the bumper enamelled badge`s the first MWG`s on the pictures already have that cast round badge.

    It must have gone through a major rebuilt at one point , front and cab are from a later era , early ones had for example in front of the windscreen wood covered with sheet metal , this one has the later only metal bonnet rest , several more details look differently , chassis is in all respects correct, with correct shocks and other early fittings.

    Paul I am not so sure about your hinges , my original ones have pins in 1/4" thick (I think ) and 3 failed during the years of owning the truck , there is plenty flexibillity in the body when you drive up a curve or likewise , so maybe a thought .

    will have a look in my bedford parts pile , must be several manifolds there ,but don`t remember wich models.

    just a note ,the inlet manifold is from a QL , on the MW the oil filter bracket is mounted on the side , so it sits vertically looks like your oil lines are again for MW

    Ian the version with plenty of holes is probably as stated before from a Militant , the other shown at the end is a WW2 model.

    box is the same as a Ford truck , even Ford Cologne boxes will fit , there is just a different rear flange and main shaft , gears in Ford boxes are even the same as in a WC series Dodge `s

    There is not much Matador about an AEC armored car , yes the Dorchester is based on the Matador chassis . the Armored car has much wider axles and a different engine.

    not realy , 2 trailers got in between ,and aC15A wire truck are in the rebuilding stage. Time runs away quickly.

    After cleaning my Canadian chevrolet C15 no 11cab , the census number on the door was within the range given to the 4x2 contract , but no mathematical relation to the chassis number , they must have been parked in line and just numbered . On the other hand the USA numbers on the Sherman`s are in line with the frame numbers.

    What Danny has got on information is not entirely correct , In the files wich Bart Vanderveen had ( in his Bedford book he also made a short list with numbers and for ease said first delivered in 1940), it started at chassis 1001, and in sept 39 the first contract for 50 MW for AA service were delivered , from there there were 2 more contracts , one which was finalized in 1940. Easy way so see 3rd batch is the fitment of double working shock absorbers , and beefed up military step brackets . first 2 batches had the pre war civy step brackets.

    what would be the tire size for a MK2 trailer ? some instructions say 600x16 , the MK 1 I own has 500x16.

    Towbarlover, how do you know that there are 750 vehicles participating , on the site I can only read that the inscriptions will start at the end of this year .

    jee that sherman could be the same as mine , mine has T 149583 as number , also the little blocks instead of the strips you usally see for the sand skirts , and has also extra side armour , and also no additional front armour , any better pictures from the T number ? beatifull pictures.

    you are right , it is an M4A3 76W , firefly tanks were never made from M4A3`s

    If I would have the exact dimensions , then I could remould them for you .

    could be NM , but mack NR has sapre wheel and storage box behind cab , canvas height is also no clue as the swiss modified the hoops on their trucks . Just the BO marker light position can give a clue , but I can`t see it properly in the picture.

    Looks to be a Mack NR . Some ended at the Robert Gill collection .

    yes found the chassis number very faint indeed , it is luckyly the same as on the id plate.

    going back to the stella filters , on my canadian ones there are no brass plates on them.
