  1. You are right Adrian , do you need anny dimensions for the right side sponson bins? or the floor ammo bins ? if yes I can send them , I am just still looking for front and top cover patterns for battery box , and how to make new round ammo holders for in bin behind driver.
  2. When the french did Radial Transformé `s they left side plates next to fuel tanks in , and added a little one at the front of this plate to cover the vent space . Adaption of engine mounts , and strip welded on fuel tank plates for the cowling . This one has holes drilled in the plate like some M4a2`s had , and the two filler neks sticking up behind turret in front of engine bay??
  3. Boogie distance looks like M4A4 , and hatches as wel , but from what I can see in engine bay , not M4a4 , Barrel clamp on front is also not common on M4A4 , So ??
  4. is there anybody who knows how the box for 5 2"smoke bombs should look like ? also the box for 3 grenades for on the heather duct?
  5. Hanno is this not an M4A2 , because the fuel tank dividing plates are not M4A4 but M4A2 , front end is also single piece, but that could be changed
  6. This M4A4 has still the 75mm ammo bins inside , and turret is only held on by few bolts .so just done as monument , the other one in Hechtel (now in storage) is an M4 75mm Hull with a grafted on firefly turret , Escape hatch is gone , from were you can see the 75mm ammo bins as well . Firefly had escape hatch fully welded up. this hull still has all the tool brackets on the rear engine compartment plate , so possibly ex US army hull , because british usually relocated the spanner and sledgehammer , they only left cranking handle there , and added a first aid box holder onthe back.
  7. Do you want the factory collor ? If you clean block you will usually find the bottom collor grey (industrial grey ) olive drab /green is french Army rebuild , red is Belgian army rebuild, grey or egshell green on ex Dutch Gmc`s .Israel used light grey .
  8. Talking about Grizzly`s in the other post , this is a Grizzly as wel painted up as US Sherman.
  9. I am not sure if all Grizzly`s had a little hatch in front of the co driver , but I have seen some with this little hatch . it is also installed in the RAM , it was meant for operating the devise called "snake"
  10. I once filled up a M4A1E8 , and there went 680 litres of petrol in. By experience I know that with the twin Diesels you can drive the longest distance , then the Radial , and then the Multibank with the same amount of fuel. The French Army did convert several M4A4`s into radials , there were US suplied conversion kits for them after WW2 , Prop shafts stayed the same , clutch mehanism raised a bit , and a M4 top rear deck , and rear aircleaners , and an adapted shroud for cooling. But the reason is unknown to me , some say it was because there were no Multibank spares , wich seems unlikely to me . Attached a picture of one wich needs more then only a battery
  11. Thanks , but i Just need the Bracket dimensions were they bolt on to . The rear ones would be nice if there were modern replacements to put in . Ha would be nice in mons if you are fed up with the ones behind you , you just push the button , and they are of the horizon :-D
  12. Yep , Adrian , I noticed it on yours , they are like big hoovers . But if it is done once good , then it is a lot easyer to high presure clean it then than if there is already rust and muck in it . Just fabricating the Engine oil tanks for 3 Shermans , jee none of them is made the same , so welded them as well different together . Batery trays for the two firefly`s are also ready (as well as 2 floor ones for 75mm versions) , just I still haven`t figured out how the front and top lid look like . In the stowage diagram I can see that there are little compartments on the top lid for stowage of items . Next on the firefly will be the wiring , and then controlls in with final drive and gearbox. Is there anybody out there who maybe has 3 exterior fire extinguishers , or the copies wich were around a few years ago for sale? Also the cleaning rods for the 17 pr would be nice to have to put in the holders on the outside of the hull . On the rear are two electrical ignitable smoke generators , how do the inserts wich produce the smoke look like ?
  13. here two pictures of interior of 1C, and 1 from M4A4
  14. Hi , I think Hanno is refering to mine with Twin diesel , no My Firefly is an M4 , so the orriginal Radial is going back in . My M4A4 is a 75mm version , just a bit newer than Adrian`s . It was built 9th of january 43. The other Dutch army German muzzle brake M4A4 will also be restored .
  15. There are curently 3 in the Dutch Army , one from t`Harde , another one from the Delft collection , and one near Wassenaar. on the same site there is also that yellow space cab ex Schiphol airfield fire tender M4 , so actually 4.
  16. If you look at the IWM vehicle pictures of the Mack NM , you will see the same semaphore traficator as on your Dodge picture . There is a restored Mack NM from Seaham , who has it still fitted.
  17. Yes , extra Ventilator , and added loaders hatch , but that appeared as wel on the last 75mm turrets .Maybe because of the 105 . First 105`s had no power traverse , but late versions got them again , because of complaints from the battle field . All HVSS 105`s i have sean have power traverse , can`t see in Parts list when they started.
  18. Hi , No they were not upgunned , they were specially made , Turret is different then the 75mm version. They were made by Chrysler as M4 , and by Ford as M4A3 .These tanks were not for Tank to tank combat , but as front line artillery assistence.
  19. FAt has a "split axle "type drive for the winch drum (chevrolet and ford), and if it was FAT mounted it was mounted in the round hole with bolt holes in the X member , 15CWT trucks still had the winch x member in , and no winch . There is just a coupling then between tranfer case and winch , no prop shaft. Ford Chassis has x member were gearbox mounts into , this is for sure Chev , because gearbox sits on top of x member.
  20. You are right it is a Canadian Chev Chassis , The FAT features are not on , so it was probably a C15A, with a Wireless Body on (helper springs on the back).
