  1. Dave Jenner would you please contact me by email through here please?
  2. The price of Ferrets has risen steadily and will continue to do so. They are the smallest street legal family garage storeable and wholly supportable vehicles around It only takes one monied person to buy it.
  3. Colin good luck making the machine, I nearly went down that road but gave up for a few reasons. Look forward to you posting pictures of a build
  4. Welcome along chum, pictures make the viewers really happy.
  5. I am trying to help a gent who has Clansman and needs some antennae sections for a display. How do I tell by measurement or connections what I have and will they fit his clamp mounts ? Any direction gratefully received
  6. Would you be able to post some pictures as that always helps. The data plate also would be something that if shown would start to unravel what it is
  7. Part of the charm of the vehicle! Use a rubber wedge!
  8. Paul, provenance. Is that vehicle yours and are you the first owner since disposal? If yes then you have some reasonable certainty that it was applied in service, right? If it is an in application then perhaps it was for some safety directive that supersedes the need to be camouflaged and all tactical, perhaps helicopter operations? The other thought is amphibious landing training and the need to keep track of vehicles in the event they get submerged in an underwater hole etc. Can I reproduce your picture with credit to you on other platforms to see if anyone knows?
  9. Apparently there are both British and Canadian and American wheels for the Bofors gun. In a bid to help you I asked an artillery type and he asked me which you needed and I said I would ask you, so which type do you have chum?
  10. There is the remains of one of these trucks here in Alberta, Canada. Not sure what body is on it but I think it was a comms or enclosed van body from memory. Seller had loads of vehicles all in the tall grass storage and all well absorbed by mother nature but all worth their weight in gold. Totally unreasonable fellow to deal with. Likely when he dies the executors will call the scrap man before the place goes for sale, so common a story.
  11. Tim, I have become more aware of the genesis of your vehicle as I was aware of the Cambridge carrier our here in Canada and recall the pendant type steering controls yours has. Recently I was shown pictire of another FV432 like yours that is still in the UK and has been in a barn for many years. The owner wishes to sell it to a good home and not a thrash about driving gig. Picture are to follow, interestingly the data plate shows it as P1 yet the exterior hull looks all FV432 and it has a civy plate on it from years ago and that may even be an ROF civy plate. Pictures and more info to follow in due course, contact me directly if you are serious about the vehicle
  12. What are you using them in might I ask?
  13. I drove one that had oil pressure issues. The problem was solved when it sent a rod out through the side of the block and stopped moving.....
  14. I met your female mechanic this past weekend here in Canada. Nice lady. Do you still need a right torsion bar?
  15. we should hook up some time when I go to NJ this summer, I am breaking a Ferret FYI I have some bits around as spares
  16. Interesting couple of pictures courtesy of Orsorio Luis by kind permission. It is suspected to be a trials vehicle. What can anyone add please?
  17. Thanks for posting this. I was a friend of the late John Parker whose models are displayed. John and I traded Land Rover models for a number of years with me supplying items only sold in North America or with packaging specific to this side of the pond. It still haunts me, the phone conversation I had with his partner after I didn't hear from him for a while. I asked to speak to John and she said "John has died". I always wondered what happened to him at the end. If anyone knew him or can shed any light please perhaps contact me privately. A copy of his obituary would be gratefully received. I am so glad that his extensive collection has a home and will be enjoyed. Thank you for posting this
  18. Blimey there was one posted on the Land Rover Lightweight Owners world wide on FB groups yesterday, ave sent the seller your info, good luck
