Howdy all, I am the sole maintainer of a small post war Brit Mv collection and have interests in Ferret, BV206, Bedford MJ, CVRT, CVRW, Land Rovers and the like. Have owned Land Rovers personally and a Ferret and always keen to chat to other owners on day to day maintenance issues and problems and fixes. I am not a mechanic but an enthusiastic amateur deeply logical in MV repair. Robin

I have a very big soft spot for Eager Beavers. Even living in Canada it still doesnt die. One of the times i went back to the UK a few years ago I found one between Somerford Keynes and Oaksey in Gloucestershire while i was lookng for the house of an old teacher of mine. There were artic cabs for these machines i do know. I would modify the machine without drilling new holes or welding anything new on to give best protection to operator. Robin

take a jack with you and axles stands. jack up one side and rotate front wheel and back should turn on the same side. then repeat for other side. if one doesnt rotate then there is either a driveline part uncoupled or a bevel box blown. Robin Craig, Canada
