Ivor, attached is a photo of the Bedford QL dental unit and its trailer. These were issued during WW2 and it is quite possible due to the specialised nature of the vehicle that some were still in use PW. I have never seen a photo of a QL in PW use so a scan of your friends photo would help, i would imagne that they only survived into the late 40s maybe very early 50s, if i remember correctly i think the dental corps were issued in the 1950s with O type Bedfords with semi trailers identical to the National health mobile units unless we have other evidence which i would welcome cheers Les

Heres a idea we can all get involved in to find as many photos as possible of factory shots and tank production this batch as starters shows Crusaders, Crusader AA MK2,Centuar dozers and Matildas. I thought the carriers could be included here, not quite Herr Grubers little tank but a tracked armoured vehicle none the less

I have no idea where this is or when but oh to find a catchment like this today, i am still amazed how few of these militants have been preserved considering how many were in service up to the 1980s i suppose the mech componants were high value and they were cut up for these parts -

If thats the asking price for the Bedford war time book then whats the value of the Large size AEC contribution book. In my collection i have the Timkin Axle book with tinted colour photos and a hard back Metropoliton vickers contribution plus a H/B GM Holden war record and then of course the large Bridging to berlin book produced by the Royal Engineers and so on makes you wonder or is it speculation cheers Les
