  1. Tony, remember this day at Mike Stallwoods farm when you collected the Rogers trailer and even earlier with the colour shot at Northfleet when we took a run up the 25 Les
  2. Glad the pictures were useful now how about some photos of your models on here
  3. The first two with the blue cab was in residence a few years ago in Snodland in Kent, any one know if it was saved. The Wynns one i saw whilst working in Essex some years back i believe the owner was named wood or woodland? i do believe this one was restored. The last one i know almost nothing about but it was run by Cayton service station at Scarbourgh, it would be interesting to find out the make of crane on the back
  4. Here are a few photos of U.S combat equipment first is either a Cat D7 or 8 with the plade on the overhead cable system, a Gallion road grader and a super shot of a concrete batching unit showing a number of interesting items
  5. Think you may have cracked it Deuce, it very similar to your first photo and Gallion roller wheels on most of the 1940s plant featured well perforated end plates. In all the years i served in the plant hire trade we never had any of the rollers as per your photos one company in my early days had two Gallion graders well known restorer John Marchant in the UK still owns a preserved working one
  6. A couple of engineers photos first a Diamond T 972 tipper but what is it towing at first i thought a road roller and am at the moment sitting with that but it seems a strange way to transport one sitting on its centre, unfortunatly thats all that can be seen in the photo. The second is the GMC tippers in the pacific loading crushed coral for use as runway hardcore
  7. Would that be the shot of the Mat pulling the radar trailer, i love the items with the 19 RB crane that jib put up with a lot of strain and take a look at the second film on the left on the second page looks like the craft is giving continued birth to endless Loyd carriers and Dingos. There are some funny moments on this one, how much kit was ruined during all these trials
  8. Super stuff did any of you scroll to the bottom and press return, it brings up a load of different films all with the same theme. Lets be honest images as rare as these need to be released on a good quality DVD i for one am going to try and contact the company i am sure there will be hundreds if not thousands of MV buffs who would purchase a copy well found CW
  9. Clear case of overloading a 50 ton Cent on a 40 ton rogers i would imagine blow outs were numerious
  10. Top showman Pat Collins ran a 20 ton pioneer tractor in the late 1940s early 50s seen here at Oldham Lancs in June 1951
  11. A small number of Hippos found there way into showman service after demob, shown here are a MK2 of Proctors and a MK2A belong ing to Hollands
  12. Was it Tony Oliver back in the late 1970s had one of those armoured trucks restored, for the life of me i cant remember the make of it
  13. I read somewhere they were issued for driver training i have a file on Unimogs will see if there is a photo of a complete one in it
  14. It was just a prototype the idea was to save on rubber due to a dire shortage at the time, a number of three ton trucks were also converted with bren carrier componants. I often wonder if in the long run and had they gone into production would all the extra maintenance been worth the effort and did it improve cross country mobility that much. The Germans seemed to enjoy some success with the mauliters based on Opels and Mercs.
  15. A couple more oldies, two Ts in the desert with captured Italian tanks and the rather rare T with large rear singles towing a 80 ton tilt bed trailer, i think again when i say 80 ton as i have photos and info on this trailer that shows it with 5 axles so this trailer could be the 70 ton
  16. Crappy quality but interesting the Matador 3/4 track utilising Valentine track componants
  17. This photo shows a lot of differing design to the first two photos mainly around the turret and rear body area, any comments as to why
  18. On the nail Runflat, even i dont know any thing on the german generator so its open house
  19. Good to see you are here Tony i expect you have eyeballed the photos i put up on page 13 of Bishops T, i will be in touch soon all the best Les
