  1. Jim as a addition to the last photo thought this would interest you its a very early Morris 8cwt with many different features to the full production cab although the body had not changed from the first, its most likely a 1936 model and the wireless body was in the design from the start
  2. I use super glue Mike with no problems trythe gel type, the big BW models are heavy and i suggest that the axles are strengtened to combat sag i use a length of metal rod and glue it up out of site as much as possible even to the point if fileing some of the axle down for a clean fit keep at it cheers Les
  3. I was going to suggest a concrete Jeep certaily looks like one
  4. Well this appeal is certainly moving in the right direction my contribution will be on its way, why do i get this gut feeling that its going to be more than 10 veterans going to Normandy due to our efforts well done all les
  5. Nice job Jim, i expect you are well aware that the body was fitted to most of the 8cwt class the CMPs as mentioned also the Ford Humber Snipe and Morris as attached cheers Les

  9. Some DAF 2300 trucks two general cargo with crane and the tipper version, something i have noticed on the 6 wheeled cargos is that the Dutch dont seem to use a tilt and canvas on them i have never seen one over there and cant remember a photo of same
  10. you are right on that Richard, there seemed to be a lot of cross breeding in the 1970/80 period look at the recovery in the german heavies a Faun but the cab is certainly of MAN design
  11. Hi Laurent These photos show the KC 30 cwt these were basically the pre war model released on to the civilian market after the war and the army and raf and i believe navy all purchased batches during the late 1940s early 1950s. Most if not all the ML trucks used by the army were requisitioned vehicles but in 1939 they did purchse a small number of fuel tankers as shown here with the canvas tilt over the tank this illustration will give you an idea of the camouflage used at the time , a green disruptive pattern over dark earth or dark khaki cheers Les
  12. and a few of the Faun 8x8 BKF 30.40 gl recovery, very similar to the british armies new MAN the Germans have been useing this type of truck for a good few years now

  15. OK just to please yer some DAF YBs the first a YB616 has a most unusual crane which looks to be mounted in the centre of the body and has a grab that looks like one of those brick hoists seen on builders merchant trucks, i can only think its used to self load ammo pallets any ideas anyone. The second is the fuel tanker 7000 litres on the SWB chassis followed by the gun tractor and 155mm howitzer and last thethe flexable runway
