  2. The Salamander is more recent than the 1970s Neil when you went you would probably have seen the M5 halftrack with front jib and a large foam tank inside the body as far as i know the halftrack is still there tucked away in one of the hangers
  3. Trust its OK to start this thread on Aviation in general similer to the one on ships, i have a small collection of all types of aircraft that are open to comments and additional info so will start with this photo of a Sea King helecopter taken by a friend a number of years ago who trade was a military photographer
  4. Some interesting facts re Grey Goose, i assume the photo i posted showing two funnels would have been when she had the turbines fitted
  5. Thought it would be a good idea to start a general album of photos of naval ships, i have a few photos i can put up and maybe others can add comments or history. I expect some members have the same so lets give it a go, my first is the 1950s gun boat Grey Goose i believe she had some claim to fame any ideas what that would have been
  6. This Salamander still resides at Headcorn in Kent i think its still operational but last i saw it it was looking a bit tatty
  7. Yes lets have it on again, all our so called TV companies thrive on repeats so why dont they get off there backsides and repeat items if interest instead of all this so called reality crap

  9. I cant be certain but i believe one of those Explorers at Sarre is ex Norringtons garage that used to be on the A20 at Sellindge. I remember it being sold and heading that way when it broke down in the wood area of Stone Street heading for Canterbury i will find the photos and post them on here cheers Les

  14. That looks good Richard, i did not get to the show this year so hopefully Bob took a number of photos. Andy in answer to your, mine are all in civilian livery, well i also get involved in this and as a lot of 1 to 1 photos in the forum are ex military in civvy uniforms i see no reason why we cant put up photos of the same. Here are some 1/76 scale modded BW AEC militants and a 1/48 Scale Harts white metal/resin pioneer cheers Les
