Have posted these up before on another thread, but I think these are the ones you are on about. My dad got sent these last year by someone who took them in the 1990's. They must have taken some hard graft to keep seaworthy over the years. A bit different to running a brand new one in the sea for a month or so. Indeed, especially when you realise that because such a high percentage of DUKW'S were out of service in the period shortly after D-Day that strict action had to be taken to ensure that the vehicles were serviced as specified no matter how urgently they were needed.
