Plus garages and workshops plus some more, and just think of the impact it would cause to land on a French beach and have Tanks, half tracks, Jimmies ect roll out for the first time since 1944.................................. HMS INVINCIBLE (laid up in state or readiness?) HMS EXETER (recently laid up in state of readiness?) BIGREDONE Posted September 8, 2008 Share Posted September 8, 2008 The only one up there at the moment is the ex Rame Head which is used for special forces boarding party training.....well it was. There were plans for her to be replaced with RFA Sir Tristram at one point. But Rame Head was not a Falklands ship. I think if I remember correctly there was a TIDE or OL class tanker up there at one point. Ill have to look at my old photographs to confirm.
