Lord Burley Posted September 3, 2010 Share Posted September 3, 2010 I found that the type of people attending the beer tent as somewhat gone down hill over the years.More so this year.Its more like pikeyville in there now.The USO stage on the other hand is a better turned out affair,with what seems a more friendly bunch. By decent I mean; plenty of tables and chairs, proper glasses and sensible music thats not to loud. Me and the boys normally head for a local pub near the site we are staying at. Grasshopper Posted September 4, 2010 Share Posted September 4, 2010 Isle of Wight steam show beer tent is awesome. Friday night is a band, Saturday night is a disco/fancy dress. Pretty much the same crowd every year and everybody knows and mixes with everyone else which makes for a great night (ask Rosie...). Good to see steam boys, MV owners, red indians and Robin Hood and his merry men all having a great time together!
