Austin
As already discused on here, the rally field was a muddy bog, but Ideal to try out the 4 wheel drive on my Austin K9. Here are a few of the pictures I took on the Bank Holiday monday morning, I could stay all day due to other commitments.

Brooky
What is the RAF vehicle behind the Stolly? Do you have another picture of it please? Its a post war Leyland Hippo 19H/1E Mark IV, think there is a picture of it in the Hippo gallery. If not I will try to dig one out. Have also added a picture of the Chieftain and the Chaffee that were there. Yes it was wet!!! Edited June 1, 2009 by Brooky spelling
Stormin
What is the RAF vehicle behind the Stolly? Do you have another picture of it please? Yes as already stated, Leyland Hippo Tanker. I caught a photo of the same vehicle at Banks Rally Southport, here:- http://www.hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showpost.php?p=137099&postcount=
Stormin
Nice pictures. Certainly looks as if the field was still waterlogged!!! Glad I didn't turn up, in a way, would'ver been awkward with the family as well. Shame really as there were a few different vehicles from other events I've been to. Will the field recover and the event be held in the same location again next year? Is it always in the same fields and subject to the same problems? Brooky
we went 3 years ago , same field , same conditions ................. The site is owned by the Steam Fair ( I think) and I know that a lot of work has been done to try and put drains in. A bit of a clue as to how badly drained the field is is the clumps of reeds growing everywhere!!! If you thought the main field was bad you should have seen the camping field!!! we had to have our caravan dragged out by a 4x4 tractor. One section inside the craft tent was under water. Dont think we will be going again. Dont think we will be going again
