stolly664 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 My name is Mark Chapman, Run an Alvis Stalwart FV622 Cargo, owned for last 10 years. Have restored to full swim condition. Swum in Ullswater as well as Amphib event in Belgium, plus many Thames trips. Have now got a Bedford TM 6-6 too transport stolly too to distant venues, so thought a trip to Salibury plains would be a good initial outing. As under 25 years old VOSA now insist I now have to have top fit a Taco, Side and rear inpact bars. What will they want next! Also have an 1927 Austin seven van, which I use to carry the lunch box! Paul O'Brien pointed me at your forum which looks excellent. Hope to meet some of you very soon. Best regards Mark Quote
Stone Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Hello! I thought there was an exemption for tachographs for non-commercial carriage of goods but since the last time I looked VOSA have changed it to <7.5t only :argh: It's a total minefield, you can see why people flout the rules... Any chance of some pics of the Stolly? Stone Quote
Tony B Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Why the rear impact bars? Can't you just reverse over anything that gets to close? :cool2: Quote
