I once read a book about Normandy, where it related to communication problems between British and US forces. An American unit was sent warning that 5 DCLI would be moving through their position that night. The Americans struggled with the term and came to the conclusion that five "Duck, Craft, Landing, Infantry" would be moving through their position and let it pass.
