ArtistsRifles Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 "Warsaw Pact", that would only include Post May 14, 1955 & Pre-1 July, 1991 vehicles :coffee: Technically - but the term is the generic one used for anything post 1945. Otherwise you'd wind up with areas for each of the countries below dealing with more or less exactly the same vehicles and weapons. Prior to that then it was only the Soviet Union (CCCP or Союз Советских Социалистических Республик) or Allied Forces or Axis Forces........ "Warsaw Pact" as a term would encompass anything from 1945 on for the following countries: Union of Soviet Socialist Republics People's Republic of Albania People's Republic of Bulgaria Czechoslovak Socialist Republic People's Republic of Hungary People's Republic of Poland Socialist Republic of Romania German Democratic Republic (East Germany) Although had it come to a bust-up ala WW3 it was was said the Poles at least would rather have fought the Russians!!! Marmite!! Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 "Warsaw Pact" as a term would encompass anything from 1945 on.. But the Warsaw Pact didn't come about until 1955 & ended in 1991, you can't just change history because it's convenient :nono: Quote
ArtistsRifles Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Don't tell me - tell the Army/MoD! Referring to the Soviet Union and it's allies and their equipment as "Warsaw Pact" from the end of WW2 onwards is what they taught!!! At least - they did in my day!!! Quote

If there is I cant think of it - Personally I would would just put something like 'Russian/Former East Block vehicles' - Quote
Adam Elsdon Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 East European Vehicles, should cover most everything from that area, and its not era specific. Good idea though, there are a few EEV owners here now. Quote
