I am wondering if it is Ok to ditch the spare and carry one of the very modern roadside puncture repair kits for commercials or pre treat with a suitable 'puncture proofer'. These are advertised as being able to repair huge holes and are designed to avoid the need to change wheels in hazardous situations.
Has anyone used anything like this?
Also, if a front has to be changed is it OK to 'borrow' one of the rear twins given the truck is well below its load weight?
