Availability of ferret parts.

Similar to the Champ question. There is a rather dog-eared looking Ferret on Ebay and Milweb that is missing some components, like escape hatch doors gear lever etc, whats the availability of these bits and pieces?

You'd need to find someone who is breaking one for bits like the escape hatches. There aren't anywhere near as many Ferret parts about as there were a few years ago when I did mine, but things do turn up from time to time.

There is one breaking on Milweb at the moment but its a Mk2 Ferret, was there a difference in the hulls between the Mk1 and Mk2s?

I can only see a Mk 4 being broken. All marks have the same hull, the Mk 4 has different wheel stations, wings, bins etc. The escape hatches will also be different as no spare wheel is carried.

Marcus Glenn is selling the one from Withams very very empty inside when I had a look at it.

Yes I noticed that the Mk 2 was the same one, I guessed this was the one Rick was interested in.

 

Also noticed that (expensive) Ferret Marcus has for sale wasn't that great when it went through the tender.

The Marcus Glenn one seems a bit pricey, especially when you add the VAT. (Minus the 2.5%, you are oh so generous Mr Darling).
