This version nhad the Condor circling just out of range of an escorts guns, The escort signalled the Condor as ATFM describes above - the Condor pilot obliged - and flew into a salvo from the escorts AA guns - the escort skipper had banked on the pilot turning into the circle to revese direction..... He was flying the church pennant, a course flag and interagatory. when the Commodore asked what the signal meant the reply was 'Oh God, where the hell are we?'
