Luger
Hi guys - your help would be hugely appreciated please! A friend has been asking how much a good, restored post-War T-34/85 would cost please? (BTW The photo's just for illustration) Your views would be great please Huge thanks Cheers Graham
jenkinov
There's a fully rsstored.T34/85 advertised on milweb for 150k. I did not see a reference to it being wartime... That's in the ok . Restored by British engineers... T34s were exported worldwide post war ....you are likely to find cheaper tanks if you cast your net wider than the UK but may find with shipping and import costs ... Plus corrective maintenance the price difference shrink Jenkinov
terryb
what things are advertised for and what they actually sell for are two different things!
jenkinov
Agree .. On prices being subject to negotiation .. But tank values have increased significantly more than other MVa over the last few decades.. I I also am aware tanks a lot have a T34/85 ex polish army .. Described as driven into position 25 years ago and left.. Mortar investments .. Have a runner in Europe listed at 95.000 Euros I am aware a few have been re-elected engined with t55/54 Engines . .. Presumably ex war monuments Jenkinov
Luger
Many thanks guys - yes, it's difficult to know isn't it. I always reckoned a T34 was worth about half a Sherman, but I think asking prices at the moment are in a state of flux. I'm not aware of many actual sales - I guess it might stabilise as the weather improves?
terryb
with the demise of w&p, withams out of the game, covid, and the rapid reduction of disposable income, asking excessively high prices, rules out 'fresh blood' entering the hobby. and will only add to its decline
Luger
Yeah - but on the plus side, there are some 'youngsters' entering the arena - Joe Hewes and Christian Baker for example. Both are heavily involved with Social Media - which might help to raise its profile amongst youth
terryb
but not many youths have £52000 to spend on an entry level cvrt.....

ruxy
As a guide , McGreggor (down Wales) offered me a good runner T34/85 delivered to Co. Durham - late 1993/94 for £10,000 . Bob Grundy
Ruxy mentions McGregor, he sold M4A1 Grizzly's runners, with barrel cut off and in the turret for £7,
