goanna
Would be nice if we could travel back in time. This is a 1947 advert from Rockhampton QLD. for new Morris 'Desert Buggy' engines. 100 quid was a small fortune in those days.
goanna
Not much to report other than I found this interesting pic of a CS8 undergoing a re-spray job. This CS8 GS body has been modified and fitted with what looks like metal body panels. The text describing the pic has the truck described as a PU which it aint. Was this a factory prototype ? Pic was found in this magazine https://morrisregister.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Morris-Monthly-February-2020.pdf Edited Friday at 09:50 AM by goanna
brown cow
Hey Mike, I'm still using one of those spray guns ! Does that mean I've got an authentic spray job on my Humber? (and others!) I inherited it from my father. Am about to connect up an inline moisture filter close to the gun. I've recently made a couple of front floor panels and cleaned up random metal parts, and 'vintage' painted them. haha regards, Andrew
goanna Posted yesterday at 02:34 AM Author Share Posted yesterday at 02:34 AM Very nice work, the panels are very neat . I like the colour you got matched for the Humber project. Yes those older spray guns just keep on working, I bought a few of the Super Cheap Auto gravity type guns , they seem to perform OK.. we are not restoring to concours d'elegance standards.
