Seabass
Hi there I’m new to the forum.. I’ve recently acquired 2 ex military bowser trailers. I know absolutely nothing about them atm and would appreciate any information anyone could give me on them. I bought them as a pair and am planning on building an expedition trailer with one and possibly restor the other to sell. What would they be worth? Ex-boy
Being no expert on water trailers I would guess they are not British. The lamp above the number plate looks to me more of a US type. Steve

Nick Johns
Similar Dutch Army water bowser, dated 1980, on Ebay, has different drawbar, this type of trailer not really of much interest to collectors, compared to a cargo trailer its only use is carrying water https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Water-Bowser-Military-Trailer/273044621224?hash=item3f92ba47a8:g:djUAAOSwD39abaQe Edited February 18, 2018 by Nick Johns
.303fan
Used as a Daf YA 126 trailer then, i learned that the Ben-Hur ww2 trailers got repurposed between 1954 and 1958 by Polynorm. Someone can fill in more.

Seabass
Thank you for your reply’s.... some good information. I’ll be picking them both up this weekend. I only paid 180 for the pair so not bad. I’m planning on using one as a project and sell the other. Any idea where I can fine spares like wheel bearings etc for them? .303fan
Once you open up the hubs, look for any bearing numbers on them.
Gary--Smith
Afternoon James, Hope you're still a member. How are you getting on with the water bowser projects? If you still have them and are breaking for spares, I'm in desperate need of a wheel. Cheers. Gary
.303fan
I have a trailer rim in Holland, might have a tyre on it. I need to get the ones with the snow chain hooks so i can sell or trade one.
