AmmoMan
Hi, I have a couple of cracks on the top of the cylinder head and the plug holes fill with water if left standing for a few weeks. Is anyone making new heads ? or where is the best source for a usable replacement, not too fussed for genuine ww2 parts but I'm sure a replacement would be easier than fixing this one. john1950
If they are the only cracks it should not be to hard to fix them.
earlymb
Jeep heads, both WW2 and post-WW2, are easy to find. A CJ or M201 head is perfectly usable and shouldn't cost too much. Just stay away from the low-pressure industrial heads as used on engines to power generators.
LarryH57
Have you inspected the engine for other cracks first, such as above and below the distributor, in addition to what you might find under the cylinder head. I only mention this in case even more work needs doing that could be repaired at the same time by a specialist.
