retalator
Had a few issue’s with the engine turning over by hand, but it seem’s sorted now. Had to measure and check everything a few times and it appears to me that i had not fitted one of the conrod’s in line with the crankshaft correctly. Works fine now. Also had an issue with the clutch/fly wheel and clutch disc. I thought it wasn’t fitted correctly, But i have changed all 3 parts for other new ones and it’s the same. So i’m going to do a trial fit on the chassis with the pedal connected to see if it all works as it should. Fingers crossed.

Ex-boy
Technical stores were packaged to last for years in any kind of storage condition, hence what may look like overkill actually did the job perfectly.
garys39
I wonder how much stuff/spares, that was in transport ships and sent to the bottom of the sea, is still preserved in cosmoline packaging 🙂
Le Prof
Hi, 20 years ago a friend (Peter Griffiths) bought cosmoline coated GMC CCKW piston rings from the Port en Bessin wreck museum, recovered from the sea bed after 50 years, and good enough to be used in his engine rebuild.
