The death was announced this morning of Gerald Duke of Westminster. he joined the TA as a trooper 40 years ago and rose through the ranks to Major General and was head of the reseve forces until his retirement in 2012.

Having met him on several occasions I have no hesitation in saying he was a true gentleman and I know he will be sadly missed by many people. RIP.
