Nick Johns
Does anybody have any information with regards to the Military vehicle sales that were held in Bordon in 1946 ?any knowledge as to where these vehicles came from especially the jeeps ? Any records of the sales ? There has been a previous Post on here about the Bordon sales, someone had found some of the old auction catalogues, the only information stated on the catalogue was the military vehicle registration number, no info where any vehicles had come from http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?21754-Military-Vehicle-Sale-Catalogues&highlight=bordon+1946 Edited June 23, 2016 by Nick Johns
Richard Farrant
Bordon was a Canadian base during WW2 and I think the sales there were mainly if not all vehicles used by Canadian forces.
Tim D
Hello, I am new to HMVF and am interested in finding out about the 1946 Bordon sale. I have recently purchased an ex Canadian order WW2 jeep no CM4204766. It was sold off and registered by Lord Burleigh on 7th November 1946. It seems possible it was sold through the Bordon Sale? Is there anyway of checking if it was sold there and who purchased it etc. Where there any other sales of jeeps before November 42? Thanks Tim
