Miserable Old Git

Recommended Posts

My name is Dave Lee and I used to be Sherwood Armoury Ltd, and known as The MOG. People used to think I was "in it for the money" but that was not true. I have had Military Vehicles for many years, and been a collector since I was 10 years' old.

My wife, Audrey, has also enjoyed our hobby, owning vehicles and "playing dressing-up". She now collects vintage dolls' prams which clutter up our bungalow almost as much as my stuff does.

We have decided to sell our Austin Tilly, which we have loved very dearly for 14 years, so if anyone is interested just let us know. She has not got the original spitting and spluttering, pain in the bum engine, but an A35 engine and gearbox, so she runs sweet-as-a-nut!!

Hi Dave,

Long time no see - please pm me regarding what you would want for your Tilly as I might persuade the wife that she wants it!!

Hi Tony, Good to hear from you again. We spoke to John Simpson as we are members of the Tilly Register. Also spoken to Richard Hughes. They both seem to think it's worth between £10,000 and £12,000.We are thinking of putting it on Milweb at £12,000 to allow a small margin, but if you were seriously interested...If you can persuade the cashier, give me a call and we will come to some arrangement. As you know we have had her a long time!

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the reply but I'm afraid it is beyond my budget - it is amazing how out of touch with prices one gets. No doubt you will have no problem selling it.

No doubt see you at one of the shows.

Yours,

Tony
