Landies and Jeeps and other sized vehicles are still registered as PLG, so are still goverened by the Law applied to such things, so may be Tax exempt if manafactured before 1973, tho always have to have an MOT (tho less stringent the older the vehicle is)....... Big stuff and Armour (and an ambulance if registered as such) is governed by a different set of Rules as they are not taxed as PLG...... 0 Adrian Barrell Posted May 16, 2007 Share Posted May 16, 2007 The only military vehicles exempt from testing by their nature are:- Goods vehicles over 3.5 tonnes gross pre 1960 used unladen and tracklaying vehicles steered by their tracks. There are lots of vehicles running around with 'test exempt' on their V5 that perhaps shouldn't have but who are we to argue!
