There were quite a few rare vehicles on show at Beaulieu, in Cris's photos, there is the sand coloured Thornycroft Nubian truck, also nearby the Albion low profile gun tractor, a Scammell Pioneer ballasted tank transporter tractor, an aero screen Ford WOT2, Ford WOA2, etc.

Hi all,

just returned from Beaulieu, christ what piss pour weather, but what a show which i believe will grow in the future. Had a very quick intro with lightweight but he moved camp early next morning (must have been the wife snoring but he claimed it was wind !! ) recognised some faces(vehicles) from here, met Berni, Ross and friends, but i was always engaged on some task or another to really seek members out :-(. Saturday was great weather wise and managed to get a few pictures to post later.

Sunday things began to deteriorate with the rain etc and sunday night was pretty horrible which is when quite a few packed up (or blew away)

As mentioned this was a great setting and there is room for large numbers to participate and as far as i can gather the museum staff etc are keen to have us back next year (i hear that provisional booking for three more years have been pencilled in) Lord Montague looked pretty Frail as he listened to the pipe band but he must be getting on in years.

Well all we unpacked the van jeep is in the garage and the sun IS shinning outside >:( typical

hi, have just joined this site, what a good site,

Have been to Beulieu all weekend in the wind and rain, still cant get warm.

What a fantastic venue, well done to Ross and team for excellent show, shame about the weather.

As this is my first post will post a picture of my jeep soon,

The best part of the weekend for me was recieving a certificate for Best Jeep in Show by Lord Montague of Beaulieu.

Well done again Ross and Team, will be back there again next year.

I had written a long report on the show for y'all, but the heir to my debts decided I had finished with the 'puter and went onto Ebay to look for webbing before I pressed POST. :banghead:

Still, the general gist of it was that I agree with what everyone else has said!

Good photo's (not one of my Landy but there you go). Was nice to meet all the people I met - mainly by homing in on the HMVF kit - ashley, LeeEnfield, hope to meet you again sometime. Sorry I missed the rest of you but by Sunday afternoon the wind and rain had reduced the kid to a shadow of his former self. What a difference the weather makes!

Took 61/2 hours to drive home - the trailer is still full of wet canvas!

you should have woke me up, a loud 'oi put the kettle on' works for other people.

i thoroughly enjoyed myself, the dances were good & we had so much fun on the vietnam night, shame the bar ran out of worthys & then ran out of speckled hen  but at least they will be better prepared for next year.

the Service on monday was lovely with the pipe & drum band marching through the grounds to the memorial in the abby ruins.the band was followed by the wreath bearers, re enacters & the Chelsea pensioners with everyone else following on behind, very moving .

we stayed till just after 1pm on the monday & it had started to clear up a bit by then as my tent was practically dry.

the museum said that visiters were up on last year and were extremelly pleased with how it went despite the weather.

i only bumped into Ashley so sorry for missing the rest of you,

being a female it also made it a much more pleasant experience by having proper toilets.

will definatley book in next year
