agripper
In the late 50's eary 60's my father was issued with a ground crew fishtail jacket. I have not seen anyother like it or sicne. sorry to say that the one I had which he gave me gave up the ghost may years sicne and was thrown away. What I can say is that they where gray and had a hood as well as a fishtail and a groin strap to fastern between your legs, the same as you got on the old DPM jacekts and the para smocks. Anyone seen these before or have any photos of them? I have tried to look through google but no luck. The one I had was a very warm jacket so doubt it would have been used in the tropics which was my fathers second to last posting. He was ground cre on the Vulcans and told me these where standard issue to all ground crew.
