59Prototype Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Does anyone know when and where this photo was taken? The Antar has the registration 16 CL 78 and the Mini Moke 27 AE 03. I know that the same Moke was at FVRDE Chertsey for the 1962 exhibition and I wonder if that's where the photo was taken? Was it a publicity shot to show the difference between big and small I wonder? Quote
wally dugan Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 GRAHAM 16 CL 78 WAS a MK3 antar and was a CHERTSEY TRIALS vehicle estabilishment number 6002 left there in 1962 to go to 21 BVD FELTHAM so l would say the photograph dates about 1962 REGARDS WALLY Quote
59Prototype Posted September 25, 2013 Author Posted September 25, 2013 (edited) Hello Wally Well that almost proves it if the Antar was on trial at FVRDE. Almost certainly the 1962 FVRDE exhibition! Note too that it was wet when the photo was taken. From photos taken at the same time of other vehicles it was wet. Being a wet day doesn't prove it as such but it adds weight to the argument that the Antar and Moke were photographed together at the exhibition. Thanks as always for your help.
