MartinN
Where can I get the retaining springs for the bonnet of my mw. I have the springs which hold the side panels but not the springs which are the longer ones which just hold the bonnet.

Louis
Hiya, I have just moved my bonnet springs from the side panels to the bonnet and mounted the outer srings. HotBed
have any of you tried John Morter, as I have just brought the thumb eye on the end of the spring from him and an outer side panel spring, they were both NOS. rampant rivet
Hi John have measured my spring fixing positions and they are 1/2" front and 3/4" rear, that's from lower edge of bonnet to centre of fixing. Hope that's of some help. J.

rampant rivet
Thanks jeremy, in the first photo it looks like the spring is clamped agaisnt the bonnet? Yes nut and washer hold the sad remains against bonnet.

MartinN
Is it because I have not got the bonnet springs that the bonnet slips forward when I drive it? Only about an inch but it marks the paintwork.
