ferretfixer Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Interesting at the bottom where it states selling of Weapons. I wonder if any will find thier way onto the civvy Circuit, to end up as DEACTs?......... Pity they couldnt have done the same with the 7.62mm LMG's! There is a BIG demand from civillian collectors for them!... Quote
N.O.S. Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 I can hear Richard Farrant thinking how one of those 6x6 Landrovers would make a great Service Vehicle for his business  Quote
juddy Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 It will be very Interesting to see what price these first off the lot land rovers sell for... The hard tops look very good, as do the blood boxes.... Quote
fv1609 Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Many thanks for sharing those super pictures. Lovely to see the vehicles individually rather all jammed up together like in a car park. Quote

ruxy Posted February 22, 2013 Author Posted February 22, 2013 (edited) The extra width gives better proportions (on 3 axle types) IMHO Edited February 22, 2013 by ruxy amd. Quote
Richard Farrant Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 I can hear Richard Farrant thinking how one of those 6x6 Landrovers would make a great Service Vehicle for his business  Tony, you must be a mind reader! My first encounter with the 6x6 version was in 1992 when i was in a team from our REME workshops to take part in a motor rally across Australia. We had the use of a GS version from the Royal Australian Engineers as a support vehicle for the rally, but first had to have an Australian army driving licence. I took the test through Sydney. The 6x6 has a higher driving position and wider cab, it was very good to drive. 3 years later I was on another event out there and there was army support, the RAEME had the mobile workshop version, similar to the ambulance in shape but with the side opening up. I was very taken with that one, but think they will be very sought after. Quote
chevpol Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 wouldnt mind a 110 RAAF ADG version ( also the SASR would go down well aswell!!!) Mark Quote
simpleearth Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Thanks for sharing the photos. Has anyone any experience of bringing a vehicle from Australia back to the UK? Quote
