Jessie The Jeep
I've done the extension on my house a few times, but you'd have to change the vehicle colour to Magnolia!!!! :-o Make sure you get plenty of photos during the painting process and share them here. ArtistsRifles
How are you doing the painting Paul - spraying, roller or brush?? Depending on the when of you doing it - I might have some free time going!
fv1609
Paul, remember to buy a pack of radiator brushes. They have long handles, narrow & angled head. Often can get a pack in a one pound shop, very useful for inside box sections & all those intimate little places on the pig.
paul connor
i have thought of that one:) Also CLive.... with sandblasting... was wondering about the radiator? would the sand damage it through the grill?
rambo1969
Gloss roller, ideal for the job and follow up with a good quaility paint brush for the awkward bits. I have painted about 4 motors now with a roller and all have come out brilliant. If i'm not on shift I'll come down and help.

fv1609
Paul do not even put a power washer on the radiator canvas, it will smash a hole in it!
paul connor
No i dont mean from the inside! i would never power wash an engine! I mean, sandblasting from the front... would it get through the grill and damage the radiator?
fv1609
I would keep the sand well away from the radiator.

Snapper
Nice to see you are getting the Pig ready for our photoshoot, Paul. Sorry I can't join the paint team. Having enough trouble factoring in dates to replace the underseal on my Iltis and paint it. I've already decided to use rollers. The rule with the Iltis is to spray the bonnet (a bloody great thing like a margarine lid) and roller the rest. I digress.....
