The PINK card mentions changes in classification from 1 to 2 on mileage and then to 3 on age. Anyone know exactly what that means?
Peter4456
Richard, Translation attached, as requested! An interesting history - I wasn't aware that any kit ever returned from BATUS and it's also good to see the British Army's habit of carrying out expensive repairs and then selling the vehicle! 07 EB 85 (Abbot).doc
BRDM Driver
That's brilliant Pete, thanks. Just need to work out what it did between 1989 and now! It was first road registered in 2004.

The V5 may help? Bob Grundy had the V5 for mine, together with some other paperwork that allowed me to trace every civilian owner. Can't remember if I'm the fifth or sixth, it belonged to the North London Barmy Army at one stage! Andy

BRDM Driver
Thanks again Pete, I completely forgot about the pink card :red: It's amazing that it appears to be in such good nick considering where it's been and what it's done... The Steering box has a plate on it saying it was rebuilt by REME in 86. The commanders periscopes where still original dated 62 but they where all full of aluminium oxide powder where they have corroded in place. They all came out in two bits missing their middle! Other than everything else seems fine. Gunsights are missing unfortunately.
