Ron
Good point! I had one of these and was told it fits in the well of a spare wheel of a lorry????? Ron
MHillyard
I dont think there would be enough room for both the welbike and the can. With full tanks the welbikes were aparently able to do 90 miles so im sure it would not be necessary for an extra can. The welbikes were also disposable so i am not sure if they would bother sending spare fuel in a suply drop unless it was for another use
whistlinwolf
mmmmmm so its not one of them then! Suppose it would fit in the spare wheel well but 1.3 gallons isn't going to get a lorry far ! Oh well it looks nice in the garage if nothing else .
Ron
I have been told that these cans fit inside the 14"-15" spare wheels of VW vans and Bugs. Ron
welbike
Hi all, the above is certainly not a wartime jerrycan for in a container, see for the real thing here; http://summerof44.org.uk/OldSite/Menu/Equipment/Fuelcan.htm If you ever find one under a hundred pounds, better buy it!! Hope this helps, Lex Edited July 13, 2012 by welbike
